I Really Need Some Help - Anybody?!
Can anyone help me? I've written...what? 3 posts so far? And I'm really enjoying it. Writing this blog is so cool. I love having a place to share my thoughts and ramble. It's like having a place I can hide away when things are rough.
But I do have one issue. I have no clue how to design at all! Seriously, this blog looks a mess and I have no idea how to fix it up. And I don't really have any money to spend on a design either. So what can I do?
Does anyone have any sort of design knowledge which they'd like to share? Can you help me out in anyway? If so, I'd really appreciate it!

How I've Been Combatting My Sleeping Troubles
Guys ASMR (which stands for a whole heap of nonsense - autonomous sensory meridian response) is my life saver. For those of you who don't know, ASMR is really soft noises like whispering or finger nails tapping on books or even the swoosh of makeup brushes, which give you a tingling feeling. It helps a lot with relaxation.
And that's what I use it for. Life's been pretty hard recently. Not just because I've been off my feet due to my ankle, but for many other much worse reasons. And I'm not really sleeping very well at the moment. It takes me ages to drift off and I don't seem to be able to stay asleep for more than a few minutes.
I recently started watching ASMR videos on YouTube while I was trying to drop off. And guys, these videos have been helping me so much! They're so calming and the soothing noises help me drop off much faster than I do on my own.
I'm so thankful for this because on top of everything else which has been going on, I don't really need sleeping issues.
If any of you guys are interested in ASMR, you should check it out. It might help you as much as it has me. Some of my favourite channels are ASMR Darling and ALB in Whisperland. Both are really good so you should look into them.
ASMR is something people seem to love or hate. I personally love it. I find it really helpful, but I know a lot of people who laugh at it and say it's just a lot of weird noises that don't work. Please watch the videos before saying that it's just weird mumbo jumbo.
Anyhow, this is something which I've been listening to a lot and I really needed. I'm not sure if it will help you, but I thought it might be worth talking about.
I actually listen to ASMR for more than just sleeping. Like when I'm stressed out or angry, I just put on one of these videos and they help me a lot. To be honest, I've got one playing as I write this. It helps me concentrate. Plus it blocks out all the other noises of life which is an added bonus.
Do you like ASMR? Do you know any good channels I should check out?

No Christmas Spirit - Sofa Bound
This dog's expression is exactly how I feel! |
Everyone is in full Christmas mode. All I see in my feeds is Christmas this and Christmas that. All everyone is talking about it what they're doing for Christmas, what they've bought as gifts and what they're going to eat.
I kind of feel out of the loop. Nothing is really Christmas in my life at the moment. We have no decorations up because my family for some reason doesn't believe in doing that until Christmas Eve. I haven't done any Christmas shopping and to make matters worse I'm bed bound. Or at least sofa bound.
Last week I busted my ankle. So I've been on crutches which basically means I've been lying down a lot to avoid the awkwardness of using said crutches.
So while everyone is in full Christmas mode, I've been recovering and rewatching all 3 seasons of H2O. Gosh I love that TV show. I wish there had been more seasons.
My best friend is a super huge Christmas obsess-or. 3 months before Christmas she's got the music out and is shopping for gifts! She can't believe how un-Christmas-y I am at the moment.
"Do some Christmas crafts. It might get you in the mood," she suggested.
But I'm not really a bit craft person, whether it's Christmas or not. Sure I love seeing a good DIY and I appreciate all the beautiful things people make. But I don't really do that much myself.
It kind of annoys me how everyone thinks that Christmas crafts are the fix all for your lack of Christmas mood. So many people tell me I should make gifts or decorations. I'm just not that kind of girl.
I think I'd much rather stick to watching TV shows and movies on the sofa. Speaking of which, does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can watch? I'm running out of ideas and I need some inspiration!
Well I'm off to go finish the last season of H2O. Hopefully this ankle heals up soon. I don't want to be on crutches for Christmas!
How you in the Christmas mood? What movies/TV shows do you love?
